Mr. John "Jack" Stabile

BELOVED HUSBAND FATHER AND GRANDFATEHR
MIDDLEBURY– Mr. John "Jack" Stabile, age 81, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, at Middlebury Convalescent Center after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn (Ciasullo) Stabile.
Jack was born May 22, 1942, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Toby and Lucy (DiCarlo) Stabile. He was educated in local schools and spent over 50 years as an employee of Pratt and Whitney where he received an award for his commitment and dedication to the company before retiring as a VTL Operator/ Lead machinist in 2005. Jack was an avid deer hunter and could often be found collecting scrap metal and stripping wires or stopping at a local convenience store to buy his daily lottery tickets. A long-time Gilmartin area resident, Jack served as a past president of the Gilmartin Community Club and he was a devout catholic and was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes church. Jack also enjoyed taking many trips to the casino with his wife and had a passion for western cowboy style and had a vast collection of hats and western ties that he proudly wore. There was nothing more important to Jack than his family whether it was spending time with his children, grandchildren or cousins, Jack was the happiest while surrounded by them, telling stories and making everyone laugh with one of his jokes. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, beside his wife, Carolyn of 58 years he leaves his children, Michael Stabile of Waterbury and his significant other Paula Destefano, Diana Pagani and her husband, Victor of New Britain, and Theresa Milkovich and her husband, Nicholas of Southbury. He also leaves his sister in law, Nancy Daddona and his beloved grandchildren; Laci, Filomena, Patrick and Mitchel and his step grandchildren; Nicholas, Jasmyne in addition to his fur grandbabies.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Stabile will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 6:30pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury, CT 06705. Relatives and friends may visit with Jack's family on Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
