John J. Stilwell

John J. Stilwell, age 64, of Elizabeth, died May 18, 2025, at Forbes Hospital. Born February 28, 1961, in Monroeville, he was the son of the late John and Eilzabeth Stilwell and is the significant other of Paula Beisler. John was a gentle spirit who found joy in simple pleasures, often sharing moments of laughter and warmth with family and friends. He had a unique ability to connect with all living beings, demonstrating an extraordinary affection towards his feline companions: Peanuts, Charlie, Midnight, and Snowy Stilwell. In addition to Paula, John is survived by children, Andrew Stilwell, Krysten (Russell) Coldsmith, and Kelly (Dave) Knapp; granddaughter, Bella Knapp; sisters, Darlene (Bill) Wood and Deborah (Greg) Carmack. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, James Stilwell. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday May 23, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church.
