Nancy J. Gerdich

Nancy J. Gerdich, age 82, of White Oak, died on October 13, 2025, at her home. Born June 17, 1943, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Nasta) Kolar and the wife of the late George T. Gerdich.
Nancy retired from Murphy's Warehouse, where she dedicated 28 years of her life, exemplifying hard work and commitment. She was an active member of Mary Mother of God St. Patrick Church, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Known for her warmth and kindness, she treasured moments spent playing cards and took joy in crafting beautiful crocheted afghans and booties, lovingly made for her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her sister, Joan Goodall; brothers, Raymond (MaryAnn) Kolar, Andrew (Pat) Kolar, and Jerry (Rosemarie) Kolar; nieces and nephews, Brian (Dawn) Kolar, Kristina (Gary) DiPiazza, and Jim Goodall; along with many cousins, extended family, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by nephews, Andrew Kolar III, and Jeffrey Goodall.
Family and friends will be received at the Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church with entombment at Calvary Port Vue to follow.
