John Anthony "Johnny Rock" Stone, passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 66. He was born on September 30, 1958, to the late John R. Stone and Betty Jean Fowler.

John dedicated many years to his career as an automotive mechanic. His hands-on skills and passion for fixing cars made him a respected member of the community. In his younger days, John was known for his boxing career. He achieved significant recognition as a South Carolina Golden Glove boxer in 1981 and was a proud member of the 1982 USA Southern Boxing Team. His love for competition did not end there; he had a deep passion for drag racing, notably building and racing his cherished 1983 Ford Mustang.

In addition to his racing pursuits, John enjoyed archery and spent many enjoyable evenings watching his favorite television shows. Above all, his proudest accomplishment was his family. He cherished the relationships he built and the memories he created with them.

John will be remembered for his kind heart, dedication, and the joy he brought to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and passion that inspired so many.

John is survived by his sons, John Derek Stone (Pamala), Michael Stone, and John Clayton Stone; brother Mark Edward Stone; sister, Regina K. Stone; grandchildren, Kayla Diane Merck, and Hannah Lynn Parker; and great-grandson, Callum Bennett.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother Jarred Stone; sister Bettina Blair; and grandson Jayden Michael Stone.

Visitation will be held on August 13th, 2025, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home from 2:00 – 2:45 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel starting at 3 pm. The burial will follow the service at Memory Gardens of Clemson, SC.
