John Stuckey Obituary
Dr. Stuckey is survived by his husband and companion of 36 years, Jerry Matlock of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Dr. Stuckey, Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, is survived by his daughters, Rev. Elizabeth (Beth) Stuckey Utley of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; Leanne Stuckey (Tammy Robert) of West Monroe, Louisiana; and Karen Stuckey Merriott (Robert) of Alexander, Arkansas.
Dr. Stuckey is also survived by five grandchildren, Dr. Adam Tabor Utley, Dr. Allie Elizabeth Utley, Hannah Allen Utley Speaks (Christopher), Emily Claire Utley (Zachary Wood), and Ashley Robert Sims (Obie); as well as four great-grandchildren.
Six special people shared in Dr. Stuckey's life: Commander Albert Hayes of Stafford Virginia, Dr. Al Gordon of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Dr. Sam Tyson of Dallas, Texas; Dr. Tom Goodwin of Conway, Arkansas; Dr. Garfield Teague of Conway, Arkansas, and Dr. Gary Harrell of Cincinnati, Ohio.
A graveside service, officiated by his daughter Rev. Elizabeth Stuckey Utley, will be11 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, at Lone Tree Cemetery chapel by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John E. Stuckey or Hazel Garrison Thatcher Scholarship funds.

I´m so sorry to hear of Dr. Stuckey´s passing. I have many fond memories of his chemistry classes. He was a great man.
