John Svendor Obituary

John was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Joan, with whom he shared 62 wonderful years. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. John was a proud and loving father, grandfather, and recently, a great-grandfather for the first time. He was also a cherished brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.
John worked for Borg Warner for over 30 years before continuing his career as Vice President at two other tool and die shops. Even after his retirement, his strong work ethic never faded-he continued working alongside his son at his tool and die shop, most recently just last week.
One of John's favorite pastimes was cleaning cars-often even when they were already spotless. He and Joan were longtime members of Indianwood Country Club for over 20 years, where they met many lifelong friends.
Although John enjoyed many things in life, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his Corvette-riding it, cleaning it, and taking great pride in it.
John will be remembered for his dedication and hard work, his deep love for his family, his passion for cars, and the warm friendships that enriched his life.
Visitation Thursday 3-8pm and Friday 9:00am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (SHELBY TOWNSHIP). In lieu of flowers donations are welcome to Tunnel to Towers. Share memories with the family at their "On Line Guest Book" @ WujekCalcaterra.com.
