John "Toby" Frederick Benge, 77, of Atlanta, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel. He was born on March 9, 1948 to Frank and Vivian (Snow) Benge in Noblesville, Indiana.
Toby proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Ford Motor Company where he maintained the boilers. Toby liked to fish, hunt for mushrooms, paint ceramics and ride his motorcycle back in the day. He enjoyed sitting around his firepit in the backyard or on the front porch chatting with his neighbors and friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He has left behind an incredible legacy of family and love. Toby is reunited in Heaven with his wife of over 55 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail (Oscar) Almeida; grandchildren, Skyler (Taylor), Dakota (Fabi), and Jared (Lizzie); great-grandchild, Sebastian; sisters, Patricia Walden and Penny (Doug) Happel; brother, Curtis Benge; daughter, Michelle Ayers and grandchild, John Luke Benge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Benge; sister, Kathy; brother, Doug; uncle, Kenny; and his granddaughter, Amanda Hale.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery in Westfield.
