Joyce Ann Benge

Joyce Ann Benge nee Decker, 82, born August 5, 1942, passed away July 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Joyce is remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, Grammy, and great-Grammy. Known to her family as the always fabulous "Princess Joyce", she will be deeply missed for her charming demeanor and beautiful spirit.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Elnora and Roy Decker, and her siblings, Eugene and Pete Decker. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and lived in Mount Adams until moving to Bellevue, Kentucky, where she graduated from Bellevue High School in 1960. Joyce was deeply involved in the Bellevue community, where she lived for over 60 years. She served as an advisor to the Bellevue Renaissance Board and took great pride in supporting businesses on Fairfield Avenue. She also enjoyed local arts and theatre, playing in the bocce league at Pompillios, and quality time with her family. Joyce worked at Capital Records, Cincinnati Magazine, and WUBE, where she met her husband Steve.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Steve Botuchis; her children, Nick Benge (Shelly) and Jill Benge-Lembright (Tye); stepchildren, Doug Recker, Eric Recker, and Matthew Botuchis; and her siblings, Shirley Fultz and Jeanette Neil. Her memory lives on in her five grandchildren, Travis (Hannah), Brittany (Doug), Hannah (Katie), Caroline (Becky), and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Elisha, Gia, Seanna, Stella, Sylvia, Beckett, Penelope, and Callum; and many nieces and nephews.

Please join her family at Grace Fellowship Church (90 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, KY) on Wednesday, July 30, for a visitation (10 am), service (11:30 am), and reception to follow. Dressing in bright colors is encouraged to celebrate her warm spirit and kindness.
