It is with sorrow and much love that we grieve the passing of John Michael Towers of St. Francis, MN. He passed with family by his side on August 23rd, 2023 at the age of 74.
John was born April 27th, 1949, in Amery Wisconsin to Lee and Charlotte (Heebrink) Towers. The middle of 5 beautiful children.
John served in the US navy, and was honorably discharged due to illness. He met his beautiful wife and best friend of 51 years at a gathering at a friend's cabin in Brainard, MN, where they were just drawn to each other. From that moment they were inseparable. They married in 1972.
In 1973, John began a lifetime career at Thermoserve, starting his position as a technician and traveling often. He was later promoted to sales where he was able to spend more time with family. He gave Thermoserve 41 years of service and retired in 2014. Apart from his career John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, strumming his guitar to his favorite tunes, listening to music, tending to his yard, get togethers with family and friends, and most importantly traveling with his bride.
John will be remembered as one of the kindest souls and the most understanding and compassionate husband and father we could know. A man filled with grace, integrity and humility. John was always willing to lend a hand. John was loved by everyone who's life he touched a true friend and confidante. Anyone who met him would agree that he was the most kindhearted, humorous, and strong man. He will be missed dearly. We will honor and cherish him for our days to come.
He will be lovingly remembered as an angel on earth by his wife, Lynn; children, Natalie, Ryan, and Amber; grandchildren, Alivia, Stella, Claire, Lucy, and Zach; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Charlotte; siblings, Jean (Jim) Porter, Lynn( Dick) Sturgis, Bill (Chris) Towers, and Mary; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lee and Charlotte.
A celebration of life service will be held from 2-4 pm, Saturday, September 9th at Washburn-Mcreavy Coon Rapids chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.

John was a co-worker and friend for the 18 years I worked at Thermo. And outside of work his wife Lynn and us had good times. We enjoyed riding motorcycles together, even on a couple of long trips. I'm so sorry for your loss Lynn and family.
Lots of love and hugs...
