John "Jack" T Turner III, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Born June 14, 1936 in Chicago, IL Jack was a long time resident of Palatine, IL, where their family lived over 20 years. Jack's greatest joy in life was his family and he rarely missed an event of his children & grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed playing games, watching sports and playing golf.

A proud veteran Jack served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 – 1956. A man of service and deep faith he was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation of Catholic Church in Mundelein, where he most recently lived.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Janice; three children, John "Jack" (Maureen) Turner IV, Rodney (Laurie) Turner and Jennifer (Roberto) Elias; seven grandchildren, Justine (Christopher Line) Turner, Allyson (Walter Helm-Buckman) Turner, Chrissy (Jimmy) Baumgartner, Thomas (Meghan) Turner, Nicholas Elias, Benjamin Elias and Samuel Elias; two great-grandchildren, Camila Buckman and Aubrey Baumgartner and by sister-in-law, Kathy Turner.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Turner & by sister, Donna Gober.

A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by mass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 22333 W. Erhart Rd. in Mundelein. Interment will be private at St. Michael of the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine at a future date. Arrangements by Burnett-Dane Funeral Home in Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org or American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
