John Davis Uloth age 77, of Walnut Springs, passed away surrounded by family on March 9, 2023 in Clifton, Texas.
Funeral services will take place at 2 P.M., Monday, March 13, 2023 at Walnut Springs Baptist Church with Pastor TJ Joyner officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be AJ Stewart, Paul Jones, Earl Choate, Robert Ragsdale, Mark Uloth, Ray Uloth, Alan Uloth and Mike McCarty.
John was born on March 12, 1945 in Meridian, Texas to Phillip George Uloth and Alice Geraldine Uloth. A retired Garland, Texas firefighter, John owned and operated the local Texaco station in Walnut Springs, Texas. His passion was raising and racing horses, reading, gardening and spending time with his family. John was an avid rancher his entire life. Later in life he loved starting his days with his friends at the local "coffee shop".
John is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Alice Geraldine Uloth; one sister, Betty; and two brothers, Jack and Ralph.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 60 years, Kay Uloth; two daughters, Tammy and Karen; four grandchildren, Brian Bowman and wife, Brianna, Brittany Borbon and husband, Jason, Kayla Deatherage and husband, Randy, Tanner Uloth; three great-grandchildren, Bryson, Carson and Barrett; one sister, Gaye Lynn Hickman; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
