John Vazquez Sr.

Rev. John Vazquez, Sr. 95 of Marietta passed away on January 21, 2026. John was known for his quick wit, tenacity, stubbornness persistence , humor and being a follower of Jesus. He cherished his wife of 62 years, Isabel; Served the Royal Rangers for over 30 years; Proudly served in the Korean War in United States Army. He enjoyed playing his guitar and loved his cat, Abby. He is preceded in death by his wife, Isabel Vazquez. John is survived by his son, John "Sonny" Vazquez, Jr. of Denver, CO; daughter, Doris Joy Morris (Jerryl) of Mableton, GA; grandson, Tim Morris and granddaughter, Melanie Morris. A service to celebrate John's life will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 12:00pm at Mount Paran North Church of God with Rev. Milton Caban officiating. Inurnment will follow at 3:00 pm at Georgia National Cemetery with military honors.
