John Vizzone passed away at the age of 96 on Wednesday night, March 19, 2025 at his longtime residence in Verona, NJ. John was born on July 27, 1928 in Belleville's Silver Lake neighborhood.
John made the most of every day on earth and left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. John was a Korean War veteran, founder of his own company, and made every day better than the last. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
John was preceded by his daughter Jeanmarie Vizzone, and is survived by his wife Rose Vizzone, his children Joanne Albano, John Vizzone, Jerald Vizzone, and Janet McKenna, his daughters-in-law Sandy Vizzone and Elizabeth Vizzone, his sons-in-law Joseph Albano and Keith McKenna, and his grandchildren Joseph Albano, Jacquelyn Albano, Lea Vizzone, Jenna Morrone, John Vizzone, Chloe Vizzone, Jack McKenna, Gia Vizzone, Sara McKenna, and J.P. Vizzone, his grandchildren-in-law Alex Rodzel, Caitlin Albano, Dominick Morrone, and Adrianne Paerels, and his great grandchildren Emma Jeanmarie Morrone, Joseph Albano, and Sofia Morrone.
Visitation will be held at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home on March 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. The service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona on March 24 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
