John Henry Walker, Jr., 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital in Lexington. He was born April 13, 1948, in Woodford County to the late John H. and Annette Douglas Walker, I. He was retired from Kuhlman Electric.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, David England, Jean Bucannon, Shirlan Walker, Loretta Walker, Carolyn Walker, and grandson Malcom Walker.
John will be lovingly remembered by his children, John H. (Sharon) Walker, Wilmore, Tamera Walker, Versailles, Maurette (James) Harris, Frankfort, Redena Walker, Lexington, Claudia Walker, Lexington, siblings, Patricia Walker, Indianapolis, Indiana, Bernice Douglas, Atlanta, Georgia, Larry Walker, Indianapolis, Indiana, grandchildren, Martin Jerome Harvey, Brittany Walker, Aaron Walker, Michael Middleton, Dylan Middleton, Garry Middleton, Katherine Britton, Havilland Harris, James Harris, II., Christopher Williams, Caleb Wiliams, Landon Brown, Jayden Brown, Kiera Brown, great grandchildren, Aiden Walker, Liam Walker, Caroline Edmondson, Kimber Seeders, Dean Britton, and longtime friend Emma Lou Black.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Steele Cemetery where pallbearers will be the grandsons. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and leave messages of condolence on John's tribute wall at www.BlackburnandWard.com
