John Edd Walker of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Eternity Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

John was born to Belve and Jane Walker on August 28, 1957, in Fort Stockton. Bethlehem Baptist Church was his church home in Fort Stockton where he attended with his family.

John was a lifelong resident of Fort Stockton and after high school went to work in the oil industry where he remained for a number of years. Some of his favorite things to do were photography, help his brother Robert with the goat farm and sit outside, enjoying nature with an ice-cold beer.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents Belve and Jane Walker, sisters, Nina Jean Owens, and Edna "Sissy" Blanks, brothers Curtis Gilbert, Robert Walker and Jesse Walker.

John leaves to mourn his daughter Melisa Hughes of Midland, Tx. Granddaughters Alexis and Makayla Hinojos of Austin, Tx. Sisters Cynthia Sanford (Art) of Fort Worth, Tx, Linda Walker of Huntsville, TX, Teresa Walker (Paul) of Marietta, GA, and brother Benny Walker of Ft Stockton Tx. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends will also greatly miss John.

John will be fondly remembered for his giving nature, sense of humor and hearty laugh.
