John Walkowicz Obituary
In his 80 years Jack lived a rich life filled with love and laughter. He brought joy and happiness to everyone around him. He was a boisterous man and was never afraid to share his views on life. Jack raised his two sons with love and a stern hand. He was always willing to provide a bit of constructive criticism followed with positive reinforcement.
Even though our hearts were not ready, Jesus was ready for Jack to come home. Jack's time on earth was done, he accomplished what he was put here to accomplish. Jack lived life right. He was a lover of the outdoors, loved fishing, a sports lover, a talented carpenter and artist. Jack was a proud retired union railroad conductor. Jack proudly passed on his Walkowicz legacy to three generations. His sons (John Kenneth Walkowicz and Michael Thomas Walkowicz), grandsons (John Michael Walkowicz and Jacob Thomas Walkowicz ) and great-grandson (John Maverick Walkowicz).
Jack is survived by his Son, John Kennth Walkowicz (Kristina Walkowicz); Grandsons, John Michael Walkowicz(Sara Travis) and Jacob Thomas Walkowicz; Great Grandson, John Maverick Walkowicz; half sisters, Donna (Walkowicz) Miller and Mary (Walkowicz) Vance. As well as many other extended family members and friends, including Ginger Hix and Michelle Blackston.
Jack was preceded in death by his Father, John Thomas Walkowicz; Mother, Verna Smith (Guy Kenneth Smith); Son, Michael Thomas Walkowicz; Sister, Rose Marie Adkins (William Chester Adkins), and Niece, Marie Adkins.
Visitation for Jack will be held from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, Monday, September 18, 2023 in the chapel of Pfeifer-Woodyard Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg. A celebration of Jack's life will follow the visitation and begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Brue officiating. Burial will be in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
