Thomas F. Walkowicz
Greece: Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the age of 77. Predeceased by his parents, Jerome and Dorothy; brother, Rob; sister-in-law, Bernice Bogdan. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Helene; daughter, Amy (Doug) Meier; son, Jeff (Beth) Walkowicz; beloved grandchildren, Evan, Mason, Kate and Arlo; siblings, MaryEllen Walkowicz, Connie (Tom Hanney) Walkowicz, Ralph (Mari) Walkowicz, and Liz (Ron Clariza) Walkowicz; brother-in-law, Ed (Susan) Blonski; sister-in-law, Ann Brown; many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Tom brought a sense of kindness, respect and joy to everyone he met.
A limb has fallen from our family tree that says grieve not for me, remember the best times, the laughter and the song and most of all the good life I lived while I was strong.
His family will receive friends Friday, October 18, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday, October 19, 11:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church for his Memorial Mass. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, NY 14616 or Veterans' Outreach Center, 459 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620.

Growing up with my Walkowicz cousins was always fun filled and somewhat chaotic at times, in a good way. Tom, being the oldest of six, possessed a quiet sense of humor and kindness that you felt when he walked in the room. I remember him stopping in to see my mom when he was home on leave from the service to pick up "duck soup ", his "favorite". My mom would make it for him, with homemade noodles...yum. He looked so handsome in his uniform. I am thankful for the memories of him and Helene throughout my life. May Tom rest in peace and hug his mom "Aunt Dot", Uncle Jerome, Rob and my mom and dad for me. Love, Carol

Our memories of times spent with Tom and Helene would fill this entire book! Family gatherings, Florida, a cruise, lunches, so many laughs, sharing grandchildren.. the list is endless! Our hearts are broken with the loss of this wonderful , loving man! He was kind and caring and he was not afraid for his heavenly journey. I hope we have all learned at least one thing by having Tom in our family.
