John James Walsh, age 68, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. John was the son of Thomas M. Walsh Sr. and Elizabeth M. (nee Farrell) Walsh and was born on April 10, 1955, in Evergreen Park, IL. He grew up in Joliet and graduated from Beatrice High School in Nebraska, before moving back to Joliet. He was employed at GAF and Caterpillar.
In his spare time, John enjoyed woodworking and was very handy around the home.
John is survived by siblings, Thomas M. (Mary Ann) Walsh Jr. and Patrick (Roetta) Walsh; nephew, Stephen Walsh; niece, Kelly Walsh- Falaney; and great-nieces, Morgan and Audrey. Numerous cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Maureen Tamosaitis.
Funeral Services will be held privately by the family and the interment took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
