John F. Walsh, Jr. (Jack), 78, of Louisville, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Margaret Elliott Walsh, sister, Ruth Bailey and partner Betty Huff.
Jack grew up in Germantown, attended St. Elizabeth Catholic Grade School. He graduated high school and college from Mount St. Mary's Seminary of the West/St. Gregory's Seminary. During his career, he worked for Office Equipment Company, Wine & Schulz and Kroger.
Jack enjoyed time spent with his family and watching old movies, especially westerns. He enjoyed family celebrations, a good summer cookout, and never met a dessert he wasn't willing to try!
He is survived by his brother, Ron Walsh (Debbie); sisters, Charlotte Ruzanka (Mike), Donna Walsh, Susan Walsh, Angela Kleine-Kracht (Joe) and brother-in-law, Joseph Bailey. He is also survived by the following nieces and nephews: Bob Bailey (Katie), Paul Ruzanka (Kristi), Kristin Spears (Kenny), Maggie Edwards (Jonathan), Jeanna Kleine-Kracht Burkhead Cunningham (Ian), John Kleine-Kracht (Savannah Foster), and Patrick Mahoney (Mary Jo). He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4pm until 8 pm at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11 am at the funeral home, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Willows of Springhurst, PARRS unit and Hosparus for the loving care he received from them.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to your favorite charity in memory of Jack.
