John Warner Obituary

In Loving Memory of John Morton Warner

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved John Morton Warner, who departed this life on January 29, 2026, at the age of 90. John was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle-a steady source of kindness, humor, and generosity to all who knew him.

Born on February 22, 1935, in Bryn Mawr, PA, John was the only son of Dorothy "Dot" and

Joseph Warner, and was lovingly nurtured by his Aunt Katherine. He graduated from Lower

Merion High School before beginning his career with Sun Oil Corporation in Philadelphia. He later became the proud owner of a successful automobile service station in Burke, VA, where he built lasting relationships with customers and community members alike.

John dedicated nine years of service as a volunteer firefighter with the Bryn Mawr Volunteer Fire Company and spent six years as a member of the United States Army Reserve, commitments that reflected his lifelong sense of duty and service.

A man of many passions, John owned more than 90 cars throughout his lifetime and never lost his enthusiasm for engines, craftsmanship, and the open road. During his retirement in Florida, he enjoyed playing golf and volunteering with the local sheriff's department. He was also an avid sports fan-holding season tickets to the Washington Redskins and cheering faithfully for the Philadelphia Phillies and Villanova basketball.

John is survived by his daughters Tracey Lynne Kormos (Harold) and Kelley Diane Warner

(Cindy); his grandchildren Chelsea Bissonnette (Ryan), Ashley Emilius (Ryan), Alexa Leutner (Henry), Jacob Warner, Nathan Warner, and Trissa Warner; and his niece Jill Cederberg. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn K. Warner.

A private celebration of John's life will be held at Lower Merion Baptist Church in Bryn

Mawr, PA, in early spring.

John-Mort, Dad, Pop, Grandad, G Dad-will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered,

and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.
