I only met John once in a doctor's office. He was with one of my good friends Laura Cooper (Coop) and he had a great sense of humor. I know from Laura how much he was loved and their friendship was so great. He will be missed.

it was a pleasure being able to take care of john while he was on MFB. he has such a kind soul and i´ll forever cherish the kind words he said to me. when i was able to sit and talk with him he shared some wonderful memories about his wife and two sons with me. i cant express enough how much john truly loved you guys. he talked so highly about each of you. my condolences go out to each of you. even though i only knew him for such a short amount of time, he will be truly missed.

John was a great person to work with at MDOT. When we saw each other at meetings or trainings, I always got a side hug and was asked how life was. He always talked of big plans and encouraged cooperation. We always laughed about something too. He left an impression on my life!

There was never a dull moment with John around. He always knew how to make everyone smile. He gave the best hugs and the best advice. He was the kind of person who would drop whatever he was doing for someone in need. I´ve grown very fond of both John and Jean over the years and his loss will leave a huge hole in so many hearts. The way he spoke of his "first wife" the love of his life will always make me smile. Jean my heart aches for you and the family. He loved you all so much! Just know his legacy will live on in every single person he´s met. Rest easy John. You will be missed more than you know. Thank you for being you and for blessing me with your love.
