John W. Werner, 97, of Schnecksville, died Friday, June 7, 2024, at Parkland Manor, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Catherine (Charles) Werner.
Born October 17, 1926, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late John J. and Dorothy A. (Schaffer) Werner.
He honorably served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the Howard L. Peter American Legion Post #576, Allentown. He also served on the Board of Governors with the Cross Keys Social Club in Allentown. For 40 years, he worked as a superintendent with the former Warren Ehret Linck Co. in Allentown prior to his retirement.
Surviving are his daughters, Linda L. Koder of Neffs, and Karen R., wife of Keith Wonderly of Coplay; grandchildren, Leanne, Christine, Angela and Jon; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 17th at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. A calling will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown.
