Publish in a newspaper

John L. West, 77, of Wiscasset, formally of Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor, passed away on Sept. 9, 2025. He was the eldest child of Curtis and Dorothy (Dolly) West.
John graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 1966. He was employed by several local businesses over the years and was a member of the Boothbay Fire Department and the Seaside Riders snowmobile club.
When John had enough of the cold, snow, and icy weather, he and Diane retired to Florida. A few years ago, when their health was declining, they moved back to Maine.
John was predeceased by his parents, wife Diane, as well as other family members.
He is survived by his sister Debbie Prouty, his niece Sarah Foster and grand-nephew Corbin Foster.
We would like to say thank you to the many people who helped him along in his final years. Even though some years had passed since seeing a branch of the family, he was, is and always will be loved, remembered, and missed by us.
A Celebration of Life for John and Diane West will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. at the American Legion Post 36, 25 Industrial Parkway Road, Boothbay.
