John "Jack" E. White, of Woodbury, NJ and Stone Harbor, NJ, passed away December 20, 2024, at the age of 77 years. Devoted husband of the late Marilyn White (nee Cunard), who predeceased him in 2013. Beloved father of Geoffrey White. Dear brother of James White (Anne) and the late Robert White (Diane); brother-in-law of Diane Potter (the late Jeffrey). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, his beloved partner, Michele Adams and his stepdaughter, Kate Adams.
Jack's commitment to his country was evident through his service in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he continued to demonstrate his work ethic and reliability during his over 20-year career as an operator at Mobil Oil, where he was respected by colleagues and management alike.
An avid sports fan, Jack's enthusiasm for the Flyers was unmatched. As a longtime season ticket holder, he cheered on his team with fervor and was a familiar face at many games, sharing the excitement and camaraderie with fellow fans. Jack's passion for life extended beyond the rink; he was an adventurer at heart. His travels took him to the lush landscapes of Hawaii, the rich coastlines of Costa Rica, and the sunny shores of Florida, his favorite destination where he found peace and relaxation.
Viewing will be Saturday, January 4, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church Street, Blackwood, NJ 08012, where his funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will immediately follow at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ. Condolences may be shared at www.earlefuneralhome.com
