Anne Hanan, of Washington Twp, NJ, passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 26, 1952, Anne's life was a testament to the power of kindness and devotion. She was a cherished member of her community, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and partner, and an ardent supporter of her favorite sports teams.
Anne was married to the late John Hanan, with whom she built a beautiful family. Together, they raised their children, Kerry Pagliari (Cligiel) and Mike Hanan (Lauren), instilling in them the importance of compassion and integrity. Anne's role as a grandmother to John Welding and Marina Welding was one she embraced with joy and pride, never missing an opportunity to attend their events and celebrate their achievements.
Her siblings, Robert Gorney (Jean), the late Anthony Gorney, and Joseph Gorney, shared in the many joyful moments of Anne's life, as well as in the deep bonds of family love. Anne's later years were brightened by the companionship of her loving partner, Don Ciminera, with whom she shared many cherished memories especially of concerts and dinners together.
A devout Christian, Anne was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Hurffville, NJ. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she found fellowship and purpose in the church's Women's Book Club and Bible Study Group. Anne's faith-filled spirit was evident to all who knew her, and she lived her beliefs through acts of kindness and unwavering support for her loved ones.
Anne's interests reflected her zest for life as she enthusiastically supported the Eagles and Phillies, celebrating their victories and standing by them through thick and thin. She also enjoyed many trips to Disney with her children and then her grandchildren, creating special memories for all. The beach was a place of solace and joy for Anne, where she could bask in the beauty of nature on the deck of the cottage at Reed's Beach. If not at the beach, you could certainly find her lounging in the pool listening to her 60's music. Her daughter will certainly miss talking to her mother every morning at 8:21 while on her way to work.
Anne's legacy is one of love, faith, and kindness that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her memory will forever be a guiding star for her family, a reminder of the grace and goodness that she brought into this world.
