On Wednesday, November 24, 2021 John Wianecki (58) of Menasha passed away after fighting a courageous battle with cancer with his wife Jan by his side. John was a 1982 graduate at Menasha High School. He worked for many years in the paper mill industry with his final place of employment at Essity in Neenah.
John was born August 25, 1963 to Dorothy (Lipinski) and Sylvester Wianecki in Neenah. He married Jan (Bayer) Wianecki on June 28, 1997. They spent 24 years together along with their children Daniel Wianecki (fiancé Samantha) and their two daughters Sophia and Skylar Wianecki. Heather (Chad) Guthu and their two sons Cameron and Bentley Guthu. Christopher Bayer and his daughter Hayden Bayer and Craig Bayer.
He loved and adored his grandchildren. His eyes would light up when he saw them. He couldn't wait to be around them.
He is also survived by his sisters Kathleen Harris, Barbara (Jack) Dirr, Judy (Jay) Janis. He also is survived by a brother Tom (Sheila) Wianecki.
Also a sister-in-law Kathleen (Ken) Lyons. Brothers-in-law Dan (Mary) Bayer, Gary (Nance) Bayer, and Gerald (Katie) Bayer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law Doris and Marseilles Bayer and a brother-in-law Larry Harris.
He is also survived by numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services for John will be on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00am at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Laemmrich Funeral Home location on Milwaukee Street in Menasha. There will be a visitation preceding the service at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30am to 11:00am. Interment will be at a later date at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Menasha. I would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Theda Care for all their help and care during John's cancer journey.
John will be deeply missed by many and remembered always.
I love you John and miss you deeply. You will be forever in my heart.
