John A. Will

John Albert Will, beloved husband to Clara, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. John was born on August 15, 1938 in Albion, MI. He grew up in Memphis, MI. On November 19, 1988, he married Clara and moved to Croswell, MI. John was a livestock buyer for JBS both locally as well as in Canada. John was a steady presence at the Croswell and Marlette Stockyards. Talking to farmers and buying cattle was John's true passion in life. In addition to cattle buying, John and Clara owned and operated Bea's Diner in Croswell, MI where he made sure your glass was never empty and your belly was always full. John was also an avid deer hunter and greatly enjoyed going up north with his friends. John was a member of the American Legion Post 225, where often you would see him participating in an intense game of euchre. He was very loved and will be dearly missed. John was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Faye Will, his son-in-law Arnelle Hope, his grandson Justin Rankin, and his beloved friend Jerry Cook. John is survived by his wife Clara (O'Connor); his children Joel (Sue) Will, Gina (Jim) Hensley, Pauline (Lupe) Torrez, Jeanna (Eric) Brouillard, Connie (Lindsey) Rankin, and Anita (Ian) King; his grandchildren Brad McIntosh, Olivia McIntosh, Michael (Kendra) Hensley, Jack (Natalie) Hensley, Kyle Hensley, Dayna Torrez, Lindsay (Greg) Bombard, Cody (Alex) Torrez, Zachary (Tessa) Torrez, Selena Torrez, Jacob Brouillard, Leah Brouillard, Abigail Hope, Brandon (Teddy) Rankin, Lance Rankin, Adam (Nicole) Rankin, Ethan King and Emma King; many great grandchildren; and special friends Curt, Anne, Stephen, Trevor, and Stella Soule. Visitation at Pomeroy's Funeral Home in Croswell Michigan on Saturday August 9th from 2 to 9 pm. A service will be held at the Croswell Presbyterian Church on Sunday August 10th at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McLaren Hospice Services or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
