John Williams Obituary
Born March 6, 1949 at Ronceverte, he was a son of the late James Austin Williams and Edna Elizabeth Ballard Williams. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Williams and a nephew, Michael Lee Williams.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Austin Williams; a brother, James Williams; niece, Michelle Morgan (Barry); a nephew, Todd Austin Powell-Williams (Melissa); three grandchildren; three great nieces; one great nephew and two great-great nephews.
John was a graduate of Lewisburg High School and Marshall University. As a member of the 101st Airborne, he was awarded a Bronze Star while serving in the Vietnam War.
He was of the Jehovah's Witness faith and was a lifelong friend of Jimmy Livesay.
A memorial service will be held in honor of John Saturday August 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Rainelle Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses; 781 James River and Kanawha Turnpike, Rainelle, WV 25962
