John Ford Williams, 60 of Vineland, New Jersey passed away at his sister home on September , 2025.
Born September 3, 1965, in Vineland to john and Cecelia Williams, John grew up in a loving family. He attended the Vineland Public School System and graduated from Vineland high School in 1984, where he was an athlete and excelled at high jump on the Track team. He also Attended Cumberland County Vocational School for Food Service. John also studied Barbering under the guidance of his father, Master Barber,
John Williams.
John proudly served in the United States Navy, completing Seaman Apprentice training for recruits in San Diego on February 27, 1985. He honorably served until his discharge on July 20, 1988.
Following his military service, John returned to Vineland and worked in a variety of positions including at Newcomb hospital, renaissance nursing home, and as a forklift operator at the white wave. In 2008 he began working at Aunt Kitty's Inc in Vineland where he found a second family and built a career, ultimately serving as inventory manager until his passing. John was a devoted father to his daughter, Frances Cecelia Williams, who was his greatest joy. He also shared a special bond with his nephew and riding partner Alex Williams III. A man of faith, John accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior under the leadership of Pastor Evelyn Booze at New Bethel AME Church, Vineland. He served faithfully as a trustee assisting wherever he could; from cleaning the church ground to escorting ladies up the stairs and, he especially loved participating in church school. John received the Unsung hero Recognition on September 20,2025 from the New Jersey Conference Lay Organization First Episcopal District AME Church for his "dedication and commitment", that has left an everlasting impact on his Church and community.
Known for his positive attitude. John was expressive, thankful, and always ready to share his testimony, often proclaiming, "GOD is real!" He'd say, "I used to think it was a con and a hustle, but God is REAL!!" His warmth, generosity and joyful spirit touched everyone who knew him!
John leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Frances Cecelia Williams (Sandy); his father, John Williams; six sisters Andrea (Jonathan) Murphy of Vineland, Wanda Williams and Valerie Jackson of Georgia, Audrey Rolle of Sicklerville, Linda Williams of Vineland, and Jessica(Eric) Jenkins of Brotmanville ; three brothers: Donnie (Stephanie) Jackson – Bey of Pennsylvania, Ahmad ( Crystal) Williams of Texas, and Chaka Williams of Delaware; one uncle, Alexander Williams of Bridgeton; one aunt, Hannah Williams of Virgina; his God-daughter Doneysha McCullough of Georgia, special nephew Alex Williams III of Vineland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Cecelia Williams ; sisters, Keeva Williams and Sonya Rhett and niece Braelle Taylor.
