John Wolbert Obituary
John Robert Wolbert, Sr., age 80, of Erie, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024. He was born in Oil City on February 4, 1944, son of the late Kenneth and Charlotte M. Reed Wolbert.
John went from high school directly to the US Navy, where he proudly served his country. He enjoyed NASCAR, collecting dragons, reading mysteries and spending time with his dogs. John loved the Lord and was a member of Harborcreek Community Church.
John is survived by his fiancée, Janie Morgan; his children, John R. Wolbert, Jr. and Nicole Wolbert; stepchildren, Diane Morschhauser, Dennise Poeta and Debbie Vittorio (Dave); sister, Sr. Jean Wolbert; and brother, Don Wolbert (Dottie). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia "Cil" Inman Wolbert.
Private arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Harborcreek Community Church, 8800 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek, PA 16421.
