John W. Wright, 58, a resident of Bloomington, IN, passed away in his home on Sunday, March 24th, after battling a brief illness.
Born on May 7th, 1965, in Indianapolis, IN, John was the beloved son of William "Bill" Wright and Neva "June" Wright.
John dedicated many years of his life to serving the community of Bloomington, working diligently in maintenance for the city. Upon retiring from that work, he cared for his ailing parents. In recent years he spent time volunteering at RBB Family Store in Ellettsville and planned to rejuvenate farming on the family property. An enthusiast of the great outdoors, John enjoyed gold prospecting, often traveling the country to pursue this hobby.
John is survived by his daughter, Veronica Wright, granddaughter, Neva Louise Wright, and brother, Richard (Joy) Luedemann, and nephews Chris French and Jaylin Luedemann.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Wright, mother, Neva Wright, brother, Mark Luedemann, and son, Zackary Wright.
A private graveside service for immediate family will be held in Indianapolis to honor John's memory and celebrate his life. Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville is assisting with arrangements.
