John Michael Wusching

John Michael Wusching, of Decatur, TN, left us peacefully on November 7, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on March 19, 1949, in Passaic, NJ to the late Michael Wusching and Helen Lazerchack Wusching, John spent his life surrounded by family and friends.

John was a loving husband to his wife, Susan Wusching, and a proud U.S. Army veteran. He enlisted on February 16, 1969, and served until September 10, 1970, achieving the rank of Specialist 4. His service earned him a Bronze Star, a testament to his dedication and bravery during his time in the military.

Outside of his service, John had a passion for the great outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting, particularly for quail and pheasant. Trap and skeet shooting brought him immense joy, and he cherished the time spent in the company of friends and family. A man of faith, John held strong to his Roman Catholic beliefs and found comfort in his community.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Susan; their love was a beacon of light in his life.

At John's request there will be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local veterans' organization, honoring John's service and the values he lived by.
