John Michael Yerger, 71, of Ft. Washington, formerly of Stony Creek, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Born in Reading he was the son of the late John A. "Jay" and Joyce V. (Snyder) Yerger.
Michael attended Mt. Penn High School and was a cab driver for Reading Metro Taxi for many years.
Michael is survived by two sisters; Debra M. wife of Edward McTague and Melissa A. wife of Alistair Howell-Clarke. He is predeceased by his son John Michael Yerger II.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 12 noon in Good Shepherd Cemetery, 160 Tuckerton Rd. Reading, Pa 19605. Lutz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.LutzFuneralHome.com.
