John Robert Yetter of Fishers, IN went home to Jesus on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
John was born in Elgin, IL on January 9, 1967 to Robert (Bob) and Beatrice (née Boatwright) Yetter. They proceeded him in their Heavenly Homecoming.
John married Tonya (Blumhorst) on August 12, 1993. Together they fostered 51 children over ten years. John’s joy could be found in being an excellent Dad to not only their foster kids, but to the 8 children they adopted.
John is survived by Tonya and their kids, Shane, Theo, Shamon, Isaac (Brynn), Kaycee, Mayanna, Brandon and Robert. He is also mourned by his sisters, Colleen Ward, Mary Yetter and Judy (Brien) Prenevost, as well as several nieces and nephews.
John’s hobbies included playing D&D, painting and music. He also had a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. John will be remembered for his for his love of God, willingness to help anyone in need and his sage advice.
A memorial service will be held at Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Sleepy Hollow, IL at 11 AM on Monday, March 3, 2025, with a visitation an hour before the service.
Memorials can be directed to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN or to Fishers United Methodist Church in Fishers, IN.
