Johnathan Kim Bohne 69, of
Brigham City, Utah passed through the veil into his Savior Jesus Christ's embrace. This took place on July 12, 2025, following a motorcycle accident near Causey Reservoir in Utah.
John was born to John and LaPriel Bohne April 17, 1956, in Moses Lake Washington.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War era. He had an entrepreneurial spirit. He recently started his next business selling used cars. He was a real estate investor for several years.
John grew up playing on a stake baseball team with his dad as their coach. He loved this and shared stories with his family. He was athletic all his life. He enjoyed cycling, snow skiing and hiking in the mountains in Washington and Utah. He earned his skiing pins for skiing several times a week at Snowbasin this last season. He encouraged his step-children to participate in soccer and coached them too. He was his daughter Megan's basketball coach also.
John referred to himself as an audiophile. His gift of music often helped him make it through many difficult times. He was a talented musician who maintained his beautiful tenor voice all his life. He loved roses. He always maintained a beautiful garden, he enjoyed working in it and spent many hours caring for his properties.
John experienced homelessness in his younger years. He struggled with mental illness for many decades. He had deep empathy for those afflicted with mental illness and experiencing homelessness.
He is survived by his wife Dolores Bohne, daughter Amy Lee, 16-year-old daughter Megan Bohne, and daughter Yurely Bohne, his brother Blaine (Carol) Bohne, and grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Kenneth Bohne, Audrey Wright, and Patricia Shelton.
He will be interred at the Veteran's memorial park in Bluffdale Utah. Graveside services will be Friday July 25, 2025, at 12 noon, friends, neighbors and family may pay respects at Myer Mortuary in Brigham City Utah from 8:30-10:00 prior to the service.
