Johnnie, age 94, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025. She was a native of Watson, Louisiana and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Johnnie was a homemaker, but her true calling was being a dedicated servant to the Lord. Anyone who met her- if they didn't know Jesus, they did when they left. She spent all her time praying and reading her Bible. Johnnie will be forever loved and missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know and love her.
Johnnie is survived by daughter, Rhonda Sheets; grandchildren, Tonya Erwin (Michael), Jayson Sheets, Micah Sheets (Candy Farris), Monica Myers (Bret); great-grandchildren, Lucas Sheets, Olivia Abbott, Brooklin Sheets Page (Blaine), Michael "Chad" Erwin II (Molly), Darlene Chenier (Cade), Mikayla King (Dillon), Kennedy Myers, Alexis King (Justice) ; and great-great-grandchildren, Hayden Chenier, Levi Chenier, Caine McDonald, Trip Farris, Melanie Erwin, Maven Erwin, Stella King, Preston Sanchez, and Elijah King.
Johnnie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Travis M. Cook; parents, Cade Edwards and Acklin Edwards; siblings, Clifton Edwards, Hilton Edwards, Milton Edwards, Charlie Edwards, Elmore Edwards, Helen Paxton, Peggy Mathews, Doris Newton, Audrey Smith, son, Randy Cook; son-in-law, Robert Sheets, and great-great grandchildren, Blaire King and Kyler King.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home 7738 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery.
