Johnnie Lee Welsh age 80 of Allendale, Michigan, passed away on February 1, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Suzanne E. Welsh, son Robert J Welsh, parents Robert E. Welsh and Angeline Welsh, as well as sister, Catherine Betke. Surviving are his daughters Chris Montaro and Michelle Welsh; Grand children Jonathon Robert Welsh Sr and Latasha Myers (Kamren); 6 great grandchildren; Sisters Nancy (Jon) Dorwin and Barbara VanderMolen; Sister in law Dorothy (Darrel) Schildroth; Several nieces and nephews.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, car lover, traveler and motorcyclist. He loved his wife and family. He graduated from Forest Hills High School and retired from Rapistan Dematic. In his last couple of years he was a beloved resident at Medi lodge of Holland.
A mass of Christian Burial and Committal Service will be celebrated on March 7th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit (Holy Spirit Parish) , 2230 Lake Michigan Dr NW, GR, Mi 49504. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.
