Mr. Johnny Earl Arrington, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, transitioned on May 9, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family. Johnny was born on June 24, 2005 to Shalisha Smith and Keith Arrington in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
Johnny was an all-around athlete and fan of the Golden State Warriors. He graduated from Northwest Halifax Collegiate Technical Academy in 2023. He was employed at Wendy's until his health declined.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memory, his caring mother: Shalisha Smith of the home; his father: Keith Arrington of Cary, North Carolina; his twin: Julissa Arrington; his brother: Raquan Boswell; his sisters: Kaniyae Arrington and Keshunte Arrington; one nephew: Jamari Boswell; his grandfathers: Gary Smith and Michael Lassiter; his grandmothers: Francis Smith and Patricia Arrington; his aunts: Marrissa Arrington, Phylicia Kiahh, Lanett Kiahh, and Danielle Vinson; his uncles: Antwan Smith and Phillip Kiahh; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Mr. Arrington will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home, located at 520 Smith Church Road, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina 27870. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30 PM.
