Johnny Price Burns, age 93, of Conyers, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. Mr. Burns was an avid golfer and to his credit, he had five holes-in-one which was not easy to do. One of his greatest pleasures was keeping his lawn looking immaculate. Even at 93, years old you could find him on warm, sunny days cutting the lawn on his trusty craftsman riding mower and complaining that the squirrels had it out for him by chewing up small limbs and dropping them onto his lawn.

At the time of his death, he was the oldest living member of the IBEW 613. He was also the proud owner of Buffington Burns Electric, until he sold it. For anyone that came into contact with him, he always had a welcome smile and a kind word and usually a story to tell. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jessie Burns; brother, Frank Burns; daughters, Linda Trentham and Sue McElroy; granddaughters, Dondra Burns Huggins, Staci Leigh Guice. He is survived by his children, Alan and Cindy Burns, Kathy Burns, Darrell and Michelle Burns; grandchildren, Scott Smallwood, Heather and Scott Boling, Todd Guice, Josh and Teresa Burns, Jeremy and Amy Burns, Jacob and Kassie Burns, Jonathan Burns, Robbie Smith, Amanda Smith, Kelli and Daniel Campbell; sister-in-law, Jean Burns; nephews, Terry Burns and Keith Burns; 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel, with Pastor Alan Burns and Pastor Mike Farmer officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Condolences may be submitted online at www.scotward.com.
