Johnny William Daniel, age 63, of Shakopee, Minnesota, passed away on June 23, 2025.
Johnny was born March 30, 1962, to Johnny F. and Shirley (Adams) in Atlanta, Georgia. He made his way to the southern Minnesota area with his parents at the age of 15 for his father's work at MSP airport.
In his life, Johnny enjoyed different jobs, such as working in the restaurant industry, and also working for Rubber Industries, where he'd often bring home small rubber trinkets for his daughter Shannon to play with.
Later in life, Johnny worked as a taxi driver for his own taxi company. He prided himself on being someone clients could turn to as a safe way to get home, any time.
Among other things, Johnny enjoyed his motorcycles and people watching, finding joy in the funny things people do when they don't know anyone's watching.
He also enjoyed being a grandpa to Shannon's children, Aiden and Katelyn. He found great joy in Aiden's Ju Jitsu.
Survivors include Johnny's three children, Charisse, Corey (Ashley), and Shannon (Jesse); grandchildren Aiden, Katelyn, Bradyn, Carson, Kolton, Kalynn, Kayona, and Gabrielle; and siblings Dana and Chris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Shirley.
Johnny will be remembered with a ceremony in honor of him on Monday, July 7, 2025, 11:00 AM, hosted at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave E – Shakopee. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow the service.
