Johnny was born September 17, 1948, in Williamson County, TN, to the late Guy Dillard and Ruby (Starkey) Gillette.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was loving, caring and enjoyed spending time with friends. Johnny found great joy in watching old westerns; the Price is Right and the Family Feud are also a couple of his favorites. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Walker Bradley; brothers, Guy Gillette and William Gillette; and sister, Brenda Chester. Those left to cherish his memory, are his wife of 53 years, Bernice Gillette; children, Kim Gillette (Kevin) and William Walker (Misty); brothers, Paul Gillette, David Gillette, and Bruce Gillette; sisters, Ruby Pewitt and Annie Rediker; seven grandchldren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Johnny's wishes were to be cremated. There are no services scheduled.
