Funeral services celebrating the life of Johnny H. Hancock, 76, of Downsville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 23, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, Louisiana, with Jeff Allred officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, Louisiana. The visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA

 Mr. Hancock was born on June 16, 1948, and passed away suddenly on June 21, 2024. He graduated from Texas High School in Texarkana, TX in 1966. Johnny was employed with Helena Chemical for 6 years. He then sold commercial trucks, Peterbilt and Kenworth, and retired from East Tex Crude with over 20 years of services, as the Maintenance and Purchasing Manager. He enjoyed collecting coins, guns, and also tinkering with tools and machinery. He also loved the time that he got to spend with his grandsons. He never met a stranger. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Ovie and Syble Hancock; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Joyce Gipson; and by his son, Corey Owens.

 Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty years, Chery Hancock; daughter, Stephani Allred and husband, Jeff; son, Donny Hancock; brother, Gary Hancock and wife, Marilyn; daughter-in-law, Jessica Owens; grandsons, Tyler Owens and wife, Katie, Will Owens and Addi Frye, Gavin Allred and Garret Allred; great granddaughters, Mary Owens and Lillian Tyler Owens who will arrive soon; nephew, Stephen Hancock and niece, Jennifer Gann; along with his beloved four-legged friend, Texas.

 The pallbearers will be Tyler Owens, Will Owens, Carter Mulhearn, Jackie Peavy, Brayden Wheelis, Van Richardson, and Conner Davis.
