Johnny Owens, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, hard work, and kindness. Born in Concord, Georgia, to the late Fletcher and Willie Mae Owens, Johnny's journey was guided by faith, family, and community. He began his education at Pike County Schools before moving to Hobe Sound, Florida in 1962. There, he attended Stuart Training School and Murray Junior Senior High School, later graduating from Martin County High School in 1968. "The class that never was but still is".

In 1969, Johnny married the love of his life, Diana Parker Owens, and together they built a marriage of 56 years, rooted in love and devotion. Their union was blessed with two children, Yolanda Owens- McFarquhar (Charlton) Port Salerno, Fl, and Jason Owens (Alison Owens) Tallahassee and Johnny especially cherished his role as "Papa" to his grandchildren, Arrie McFarquhar and Jaxon Owens.

He was preceded in death by his siblings James Owens, Robert Owens, Ruby Parks, Bennie Owens, Henry Owens, and Granddaughter Latrice A Irvin.

Johnny was one of a large, loving family. He is survived by his siblings Jewett Britt Zebulon Ga, Betty Burden Zebulon Ga, sister in laws Luddie Owens Concord Ga, Mildred Moreland, Concord Ga, Frances Preston of Hobe Sound, Uncle Henry Milner of Giffin Ga. He was also a proud Godfather to Shawn Buckle and Elie Dorsey. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, extended family and dear friends who were blessed by his presence and impacted by his life.

A man of many skills, Johnny enjoyed a long and successful career. He worked for 23 years as a master golf club builder with Tony Penna Golf, where his craftsmanship was well respected. Never one to stop learning, Johnny later attended Palm Beach State College and earned his plumbing certification, working with Wright Superior Plumbing and HVAC until his retirement.

Johnny was also a proud member of the Pride of Palm Beach Lodge 447 and Masud Lodge #69, West Palm Beach, Florida where he built lasting friendships and served his community with honor.

Faith guided Johnny's life. He was baptized at Old Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, Georgia. As an adult, he became a faithful member and Deacon at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Hobe Sound, Florida, and since 2002, he had been an active member of The Grace Place Church, Stuart, Florida. He was a Greeter at the children door for many years.

Johnny was known for his endless generosity and his talent for "fixing anything." He loved playing golf and fishing, and he was a loyal fan of all South Florida sports teams-especially the Miami Heat and the Miami Dolphins. A fixture in his community, he loved all the children in the neighborhood, who in turn adored him. In retirement, he could often be found cruising the streets of Hobe Sound in his golf cart "Big Red" always with a smile and a wave.

Johnny Owens will be remembered as a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and lived with joy. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
