John Robinson Obituary
He was born on May 17, 1947, in Harrison, to James Garland and Doratha Julia Doane Robinson. On June 5, 2016, Johnny married Bettye Lee Nichols Christian in Lead Hill. He was a devoted member of the Yardelle Chapel. Johnny loved the outdoors-hunting, traveling, and especially fishing brought him great joy. He retired as plant manager from Claridge Products after 46 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Florene Cross Robinson; and three brothers, Tom, Rodger (Joye), and Jimmy Robinson.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Robinson of Lead Hill; his children, Sheila (Jeff) Blythe of Harrison, Teresa (Clint) Davis of Bergman, Kim (Rodney Mathis) Robinson of Oklahoma, and John (Jennifer) Robinson of Diamond City, Roxan (Danny) Smith of Mt. Judea, Tonia (Roger) Campbell of Hindsville, and Vickey (Jerry) Martin of Branson, Missouri; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn (Eddie) Estes of Crooked Creek; two sisters-in-law, Teresa Robinson of Western Grove, and Jimmie McCutcheon of Mt. Judea; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Yardelle Chapel with Pastor Derwin Martin and Bro. Dennis Sisco officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery at Yardelle under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Jake and Jason Davis, Travis and Dustin Garner, Ryne and Zane Robinson, and Will Aldrige. Honorary pallbearers include his grandchildren and his special friend, Odell Watts.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 17th, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sand Hill Cemetery, 27792 AR 123, Western Grove, Arkansas 72685.
