Johnny Smothers

John Smothers, affectionately known as Johnny or Johnny "Mother F***ing" Poison passed away suddenly on September 7, 2023. Johnny was born in Mira Loma, CA on August 8, 1978.
Johnny had a deep passion for music. Over the past two decades, he poured his heart and soul into various bands, leaving us with melodies that will forever echo in our hearts.
But it was in the midst of the vibrant atmosphere of Pepito's Night Club that fate intervened. Johnny had no idea he was about to meet his soulmate. In the year 1999, Johnny crossed paths with Trisha Crilly, leading to a wild night filled with laughter, silly nicknames and code names that would continue to make us laugh for years to come.
Their love story blossomed, and in the years that followed, Johnny and Trisha became parents to two wonderful boys, Dylan and Corey. Johnny was not just a husband ; he was a devoted father who adored his family. The epic summer birthday parties, where Dylan and Johnny celebrated together, became cherished traditions, that friends and family still talk about.
Beyond his love for music and family, Johnny was known throughout town for his plumbing business. His honesty, fairness, and expertise made him a respected figure in his field. He was never one to overcharge; instead, he believed in doing honest work, and that integrity endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his love of music, punk rock in particular, he also had a love for Vans, and the unique van culture. Johnny enthusiastically shared his passion for vanning with anyone willing to listen.
As their boys grew, Johnny and Trisha embarked on a new adventure together, exploring the world of vanning as a couple. If Johnny had it his way, they'd have spent every weekend on the open road.
Johnnys passing has left us heartbroken, shattered and reminded that life can be painfully unfair at times. Let us not dwell on the sorrow; instead let's focus on the legacy he leaves behind. He was a one-of-a-kind guy and wouldn't want us to forget the good times we shared.
Let's rally around Trisha, Dylan, and Corey during these difficult times providing the love and support they need. Johnnys memory will live on through the love and laughter he brought into our lives, and the kindness and integrity he displayed in his work and passions.
Rest in peace, Johnny "Mother-F***king" Poison. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
