Johnny Ray Teague Sr.

Johnny Ray Teague Sr, age 71, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at his home. Johnny was born September 3, 1952, to the late John and Myrtle Helton Teague. He worked for YUM Brands Co and retired after 37 years. He then worked part time for the City of Shively doing code enforcement.
Johnny was a life long UofL fan, an avid wrestling fan, along with sci-fi horror films. He was known for meticulously keeping his yard maintained at all times and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary Kleier Teague; his children, Shannon Willman (Mark) and Johnny Teague Jr (Terri); grandchildren, Brandon Willman (Maggie), Sydney Willman, Carly Manning, Bridgett Newton (Brian), Riley Teague, Hudson Teague, and Sammy Willman; great granddaughter, Thea Willman; sisters, Carol (Bob), Ruth, Pat, and Sharon (Morris); and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Teague, Leon Teague, Jerry Teague; and his sister, Mary Haycraft.
Funeral service will be Tuesday August 13, 2024 at 6:00pm Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00-6:00pm at the funeral home.
