Joleta Ann Stucky, 77, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, surrounded by family at The Cedars, McPherson.
Joleta was born May 9, 1947, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Hobert “Blackie” and LaLois Marie (Turner) Black. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1965 and continued her education at Asbury Hospital School of Nursing.
On August 19, 1962, Joleta was united in marriage to Keith L. Kaufman in McPherson, and they had three children, Kelly, Kyra, and Kory. On July 30, 1994, Joleta married Delano “Del” D. Stucky in McPherson.
She worked as a Registered Nurse at Asbury Hospital in Salina, Pine Village in Moundridge, and The Cedars and Northview Manor, both in McPherson.
Joleta was a member of McPherson church of Christ and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include her loving husband, Del of the home; children, Kelly (Gina) Kaufman of Wylie, TX, Kory (Amanda) Kaufman of Wylie, TX, Cindy (Jeff) Unruh of McPherson, KS, and Justin Stucky of Marion, IL; seven grandchildren, Keith Kaufman, Leah Kaufman, Vaughn Kaufman, Lacey (Andrew) Rush, Alexa (Nathan) Pendergraft, Ashtynn (Levi) Robillard, and Brittany Stucky; three great-grandchildren, Madison & Annie Rush and Ivy Jane Pendergraft; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Black; and stillborn daughter, Kyra Ann Kaufman.
The memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 21, 2025, at the McPherson church of Christ. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery. To view a live stream broadcast of the service, PLEASE CLICK HERE.
