Jon Douglas Bertolet, 78, of Brenham passed away Friday, March 28, 2025.
He was born on June 8, 1946 to Elmer C. & Margaret Bertolet. On April 30, 1977, he married Priscilla Garrison in Fayetteville, GA.
Jon worked several jobs in his lifetime, but his favorite was working as a religious radio disc jockey. He also owned and operated TFE Company in Brenham for several years.
The most important time in Jon’s life, however, was when he received the gift of the Holy Ghost in a revival meeting and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in Somerville Lake, beginning his spiritual journey to his heavenly home. He and Priscilla were married just short of 48 years. He was loved deeply by his family and will be missed greatly.
Survivors include his wife Priscilla Bertolet of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law: Forrest & Tricha Bertolet of Bryan; daughters and son-in-law: Rachel Bertolet of Brenham, Judith & Joshua Fitzgerald of Meridian, MS; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ruth & Albert Jenkins of Charleston, SC, Frankie & Jim Day of Dublin, GA, and Mark Garrison of Cochran, GA. Jon is also survived by his grandchildren: Aaron, Azic, Sam, Rose, Sabrina, Verity, Seth, Charity, Jacob and Noah; great-grandson Kayce, and numerous other relatives.
Jon is preceded by his parents and his son, Jon Michael Bertolet.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday April 5, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. immediately followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church in Brenham, 1001 Prairie Lea St, Brenham. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
