Jon Robert Goldfuss, 80, peacefully left this world on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 surrounded by family that loved him deeply.
Jon was born on VJ day, August 15, 1945 to Robert and Martha Goldfuss in Thornwood, New York, where he grew up.
He graduated from Valhalla high school and then served in the US Navy from 1968 to 1971.
Jon went on to work for Sheet Metal MFG (New Castle Building Products) alongside his father and then his sister Nancy. Jon stayed at Castle for 57 years. He was at his desk to celebrate his 80th birthday in August.
Jon loved his work. He loved his "doll" Angela who predeceased him in 2021. He loved the New York Giants and he loved his family. Many might say in that order.
Jon and Angela enjoyed season tickets to the Giants for many years, and their annual weeks on the beach in St Maarten. He often reminisced about their beautiful life together.
Jon is survived by his children, Gregory, Jeffrey and Brian. His grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren, Lucas and Brooklyn.
He was preceeded in death by one great granddaughter, Bianca.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff at White Plains Hospital for their exceptional care.
In lieu flowers donation to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
