Jon Orin Hardenbrook was born in Weiser, Idaho on May 24, 1959. He died in Kalispell, Montana on April 24, 2025. He was the fifth of five children born to Don and Dorothy Hardenbrook. At the time of his birth the family was living in Payette, Idaho. Jon attended schools in Payette, Idaho; Anacortes, Washington; Weiser, Idaho; and Grande Prairie, Alberta. He graduated from Grande Prairie Composite High School in 1977.
Jon attended Puget Sound Christian College as well as University of Washington.
Jon enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served in Japan, Hawaii, and California, receiving the Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged in 1994.
After his discharge he had a career in the field of healthcare technology where he acquired many different certifications.
Jon was an accomplished athlete in his youth, playing minor league baseball and was passionate about sports as well as recreating in the great outdoors.
Jon is survived by his wife, Shelly (Gahlman) Hardenbrook; his sons Nicholas (Alycia) and Zachary (Taya); his grandchildren Chandler, Ayden, Ashton, Decon, and Sawyer, four siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death.
Private family services will be held at later dates.
